What’s Going On?

 The problems with RRP online training are many:

  1. Developing an online course takes months, if not years.  A highly sophisticated training and testing platform must be created. 
  2. Getting an online course approved by EPA takes months.
  3. Getting state approved does not mean it is EPA approved nationally
  4. Getting EPA approved does not mean an online component is approved by an authorized state program.
  5. Only the classroom portion of RRP can be taken online, so a huge network of hands-on providers is needed that does not exist.
  6. Administering one’s own online course means managing all trainers who would use it, as well as, issuing all of the photo-certifications, nationally.
  7. An online RRP component that only meets the minimum standard of presenting as opposed to teaching graduates students that may not pass your final examination leaving trainers teaching more hours than if the online component was not used!

Now, There are Solutions at hand....

  1. The EPA’s new Application amending process means existing trainers can use the accredited ComplyAbility online course as their own.

  3. The more elaborate, well thought out, online programs are being approved by states that have histories of being resistant.
